AT&T To Cut Off P2P Users
AT&T can certainly change their contract as they deemapropriate. I'm pretty certain that's become a common practice. Bu lot of you decriers of 'FOUL' are kind of missing the point.
The whole "Legitimate" reason for using P2P / BitTorrent whateveris to try and ensure that there will be more bandwidth for adesired file than will be availible by any one provider.
That is to say, now adays files are so large and there is so muchdemand that unless you have oodles and oodles of upstreambandwidth, someone is going to get denied access because of toomany users. (any of you who may remember ftp archives like WU) ordownloads that are much slower than that 8Gb fiberline you just hadrun the last mile to your house.
It's the same philosophy that you all bitched about when you'd sayMS Windows expands to fill all resources. Just because you can useP2P doesn't mean you should. A lot of you are savvy enough to knowhow to limit the number of upstream clients you can provide for.But in general uncontrolled P2P will consume as much of yourupstream as it can while your downloading your Pr0n.
Anyone who plays WoW will know their P2P is vicious, and this isfrom a company with the most popular MMORPG in the world, Billionsof dollars a month from user fees and such and they have to useyour network to help spread their updates?
So cry if you get thumped by the 'Corporate Giant' trying to keepthe hard working hacker down. It's not about unlimited data, it'sabout people using tools that crush everyone elses fun using thatservice.
Think about it, you paid to move data for yourself up and down thatline, P2P makes you a data dealer for 2 - 100's more all on thatone line you are paying for.
Probably blew my Karm but oh Well.

Don't Let Fleas Bug You!
By
Mystic Matthews
Their bark or meow may not be scary, but there's one thing that is. Fleas.
"Fleas are a problem every season. It's one of the biggestcomplaints we get," says Veterinarian Dr. Shawn Penn
And it's not something pet owners can ignore, because for everyfive fleas you see, there are 95 more eggs.
But Dr. PENN is here to help with treatments like Advantage orFrontline.
"The most popular method of killing fleas is using a topicaladulticide that kills the adult fleas on a dog or cat," says Dr.Penn.
"But treating your pet for fleas isn't enough. You have to treatthe environment around them.
And that's where Jeff Abney with Abney & Son's Hardware comesin. There are a slew of pesticides that will help get rid of thosefleas.
"In the house you can tell a difference in 24 hours, it starts towork and you definitely notice a difference. For outside, it'sgoing to work about the same," says Abney.
"If you had them out in the yards, you would typically use aconcentrate. You mix it in a pump-up sprayer to mist the yard. Ifyou have them in the house, you will want to use one that'sdefinitely made for inside,"
like flea powder or a fogger.
But Dr. Penn says be patient and persistent because one treatmentisn't enough to do the trick.
"Their life cycle is about two weeks, so about the time you get theadults under control, you have the (eggs) hatching."
And for those who think ignoring the problem will make it go way, think again.
"I've seen dogs die from flea infestation. We try to beunderstanding, but at the same time we want what's best for theanimal and some form of flea control is best," says Dr. Penn.
And even if you don't notice fleas, Dr. Penn says use medicine toprevent them.
To figure out if you have fleas in the house, walk around on thecarpet in white socks and fleas will cling to them.
An easy way to kill live ones you pick off your pet is to put themin soapy water.
