Copper prices up due to increase in industrial demand
NEW DELHI: Wholesale prices of copper rose by Rs 5 kg in thenational capital today on increased industrial offtake.
Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod, copper wire bar and coppermixed scrap were up by Rs 5 each at RS 375, Rs 395, Rs 375, Rs 362and Rs 384 per kg respectively.
Marketemen said increased offtake by consuming industries andfirming trends in global markets, mainly led to rise in copperprices.
Following were today's quotations per kg (in Rs): Tin ingot 1,145,zinc ingot (Hindustan) 104, zinc dross 92.00, nickel plate (4x4)1150-1260, cadmium plate 480, Rod 480, antimony (china) 290-320,gun metal scrap 262, bell metal scrap 250, copper wire scrap 375,copper super d rod 395, copper wire bar 375, copper mixed scrap362, C C rod 384, Utensil scrap 306, Chadripital 245, brass sheetcutting 350, bullet scrap 245, bharat scrap 230, accessories scrap243, brass boring 222-235, brass radiator scrap 195 and huny scrap227.
